Movie Review : Three Kingdoms – Resurrection of the Dragon

Salam and hello all, erm.. I quiet free recently and to fill up my free time, hehe.. go watch some movie. Actually, I didn’t plan to watch this movie. However, one of my cousins suggested to watch the movie. If me, I would prefer Death Note 3 : L Change The World.Hehe
Well, at first, I know nothing what this movie is all about. What I know is, it is a Hong Kong movie and a kungfu movie. According to my cousin, this movie is based on a true story and a best selling novel. [ Read Wikipedia ] So, this is my another recently watched movie review.
Anyway, here the synopsis,
His country torn asunder by civil war, ZHAO, a commoner, heeds the call of duty and from the humblest of roots and rises through the ranks on wings of courage to command an army charged with liberating the land from an evil warlord. Inspired by action, honour and a dream of unifying his divided nation, ZHOU’s heroism becomes a legend. But as the years pass and the throne changes hands the war still rages on. When a newly enthroned king decides peace can only be achieved by defeating the warlords once and for all, ZHAO embarks on his final and greatest campaign, a road to adventure that will crown his name in glory for all time.

So here my review, the movie begins with the fighting scene between Zhao Zilong (acted by Andy Lau) and Cao Cao (acted by Maggie Q). Well, that just for about 10 minutes or maybe less *not sure* and the movie go into flashback about the story of Zhao Zilong. How he started to join the army, then became a big name of his country. The plot was interesting for me, the war scene for me was perfect. I can’t argue that, the war and kungfu fighting scene was damn great. No more comment can I say about the cinematography. Everything looks perfect. No comment also for the acting part, Andy Lau and Maggie Q really did a good job to bring their character. They are great! *big clap* Although I know that the storyline already modified from it original story (according to my cousin again) but for me, who didn’t really know about the true and real story of this history, I think the the storyline still interesting. But, if you really hope for an exact storyline as in history from a 2 hours movie, I can’t say anything. I don’t think the movie can story everything with details from A to Z in 2 hours duration, it is a long story. LOL..
Apart of that, i rated this movie 4.5 out of 5 and this movie is worth to watch although you know nothing about the real story behind it. Anyway, its still an interesting movie to watch ![]()
