Movie Review : Iron Man

Hello, last Saturday, I and my brother went to GSC Cinema, Alamanda Putrajaya to watch this most awaited movie from Marvel Studio, Iron Man. Well, actually I decided to watch on that day because I want to stay away from my laptop for the whole day. Hehe.. you know right? Last Saturday declared as World Shutdown Day? Hehe.. so as to stay off from my laptop and to fill up my time, go watch this movie. Well, it was an awesome movie and if you’re Marvel’s comics fans, you must watch this movie. Anyway, I’m not Marvel’s comics fan but I like their live-action movies such as X-Men, Spiderman and etc.

So, since I watched the movie already, I want to share with you all what I think about this movie. So before that, as usual like my others movie reviews, lets have a short synopsis what this movie is all about.

Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is the CEO of Stark Industries which produces advance weapon systems for the U.S. military. Tony’s father started the company after WWII, and after his death Tony inherited the company, worth billions. Tony lives the life as a hard drinking, rich playboy ladies man, but he is also a genius who has invented many high-tech items for the company. Tony flies to Afghanistan to demonstrate a new weapons test to the United States Air Force. On his way back to his plane, his convoy is attacked by terrorists, and Tony is wounded by a Stark Industries missile. Tony is captured and held hostage in a cave with Yinsen (Shaun Toub), a doctor who saves his life. The terrorists force Tony and Yinsen to reproduce the new destructive Jericho missile Tony was demonstrating from parts of other weapons. Instead, Tony decides to build a suit of armor with Yinsen’s help. The suit gives Tony the strength and protection to be able to escape the terrorists. Back in America, Tony builds a better suit of armor which gives him superhuman strength with the ability to fly. With the help of his personal assistant Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) and Air Force Lieut. Colonel Jim Rhodes (Terrence Howard), Tony vows to protect the world as Iron Man.

So, how? Wanna watch it?

So, here is my review. The movie started at Afghanistan (If I’m not mistaken) and here is where Tony Stark, a billionaire industrialist and a damn intelligent and genius inventor of modern weapons got kidnapped by terrorists who forced him to build up Stark Industries latest missile called Jericho. But instead of built the weapon as he should, he designed and created a new protection suit for him to escape from the terrorist. And guess what, just from some of craps! Can you imagine how genius he is? Ok2.. this just a fiction movie, so don’t bring so much reality in here. But anyway, he is really freaking genius! Luckily he successfully escaped from the terrorist and was saved by the US army. Then, when he was back to US, he decided to continue the development of the suit that was built before to escape from the terrorist. And another thing that make me impressed and amazed with Tony Stark, he build the suit with 100% perfection without any problem and completely occupied with all latest weapons in less than 2 weeks! Hoho.. He really genius man, can’t say anything. Then the story began when he decided to stop invents on armor weapons and want to destroy all the weapons that he had built. The reason? You must watch the movie to know more what’s next. Ok, I’ll not story everything here, if you want to know the whole story of this movie, go watch it at your nearer cinema or wait for its DVD to be released later. Another thing that amazed me is his house, super fabulous-freaking-high-tech I tell you, can you imagine a house with completely 100% controlled by computer? You must watch it first then you’ll know what I meant. In this movie also you can see 2 really intelligent robots that used artificial intelligent (AI) which able Stark to communicate with them like he communicate with human and asked for their help. Stark super computer also not excepted, it provided Stark with all the informations he needed. Everything Stark want to know, from the weather to traffic and everything! Awesome right? Not to forget, the gorgeous Audi new supercar, Audi R8. *Wa..My dream car* In this movie you also can watch awesome CGIs which you might not notice is it a CGI or not. Great! Its really fantastic! Hoho.. Anyway all these can be expected from this $150 million to make movie. I not bored watched this movie, it was really a great movie and I want to watch it again! Apart of that, I would give this movie 5 out of 5 since the storyline was well plotted and its awesome CGI which really great! Its a worth movie to watch. Hey, what are you waiting for? Go watch it!
