Movie Review: GI Joe – The Rise of Cobra
Salam and hello everyone. Before I start, I’m sorry if this short movie review is going to spoil your going-to-watch-mood for those who is yet watch this movie. But, if you eager to know what this movie is all about and what can you expect from your RM10 ticket, you may proceed your reading. 
Before I start, let’s have brief introduction about the movie, GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra.
So, here is the short review of the movie. If you think I’m going to story in details about the movie, you’re wrong. What I’m going to tell is just the review. Hehehe. If you want to find some synopsis and spoilers, just Google it. You may find a lot of it on the net.
So, here is the review. If you love fiction movie with CGI graphics and high tech weapons, this movie might be one of the movies you should watch. I can say, the CGIs that have been used in this movie is awesome although some of it looks cartoon, but it was not so bad. At least, it is better compared to Cicakman. 
You also may expect many parts of the movie have been ‘CGI’ed, yes, a lot of CGIs. Some looks unrealistic for me, but I still can accept it. If you love to see explosions with a lot of action pack, this movie is one of the movie you should watch. Owh, there was also a great weapon (like a gun I think 
) that can destroy everything. Just shoot, everything will ‘kaboom!’. Hahaha, you’ve to watch it, then you’ll know what I meant. But, wait. Even the CGI is awesome, it doesn’t mean this movie is great. Hence, continue your reading.
I’m not a fan of cartoon version of GI Joe and I even didn’t watch it during its time. So, I have zero info about this movie. Speaking of the plot or storyline of the movie, I don’t think this movie has a great storyline. The story was so simple because most of the time, they fought. That’s why I say, this movie is full of actions. But, this movie still have some humour element inside. Well, for me this is to avoid the audience from getting boring watching a movie with so many CGIs and fighting part. At least, I can hear some laugh and voice from the audience and the cinema is not so silent until I feel like I’m the only one in the cinema. But, the overall storyline was simple and light, from the start until the end, they fought.
What’s more to say? Is there anything else you want to know beside about the CGIs and storyline? Maybe about the actor or actress? Should I review it too? Hoho.. Sienna Miller looks great and hot in this movie. But, I love to see Rachel Nichols more. 
So, you should watch it. Hahaha. Ok, as a conclusion, this movie is a nice movie to watch if you love to watch movie with a lot of actions, explosions and awesome CGIs, but not a great movie if you care about storyline. For GI Joe’s cartoon version fans, maybe you should watch this movie because I don’t know what is your expectation for those who watched its cartoon version. I’m not recommend you to watch this movie, but if your weekend is too bored and you don’t have any other movie options to watch, you can watch this movie. After all, I give this movie 3 stars out of 5. So, are you going to watch it?

I watched this movie already n i tot it was quite awesome wor. I’d give it 4 out of 5 stars honestly. I agree tat the storyline was kinda bleh, but the gadgets were chun lo. And i think the effects could very well rival that of transformers 2. Almost. =) Tats my opinion on the movie. Enjoyable la

compared to other sci-fi movie, this movie was like hmmmm?
i think CGI sucks big time compared 2 transformers n Star Trek’s CGI, the main 2 cast have no chemistry (channing & the black fella —didn’t recall what his name was?) n channing tatum better stick with dancing. his work in this film was not very convincing at all..disappointed.
btw i do agree with u about the actions + the gadgets….luv the pulse canon!!

@agusted, yep2…agree with you. For me, the plot and storyline is the main important thing that should be focused, not only that CG part. This movie failed at storyline part and maybe success for the CG part, even though some people claim their CG looks cartoon and I do agree with this.
Well, the black fella you mentioned maybe Sienna Miller if I’m not mistaken, but I don’t have any comment on act part.
Not going to watch it on cinema. But will wait for blueray disc.
