Salam and hello everyone. I believe most people in this world already know about this disaster that was hit Japan on Friday, 11 March 2011. I’ve been following the updates on this disaster since its first day until now, and I can’t do anything other than just pray for their safety. I’ve contacted some of my friends in Japan and glad to hear they are all safe from any accidents and injuries. Thanks Allah and Alhamdulillah.

Up until now, police estimate death toll in quake-hit Miyagi prefecture, Japan, could surpass 10,000. This is a big disaster for Japan. This is not the only issue, 2 nuclear reactors located in Fukushima and Onagawa currently under nuclear emergency after its reactor core cooling system has failed to operate. This is no more an issue that only Japan need to concern, this issue involves the whole world and any nuclear accidents that may happen will not cause harm to Japan only, but probably the whole world. I hope Japan and other countries which are currently working on the solution for this problem may come out with a solution that can avoid any nuclear accident from happen from these 2 unstable nuclear reactors power plant. Let us pray for that.

As for now, there are number of organizations that currently on their way and already in Japan for rescue and working on recovery after the disaster. You are welcomed to donate on these organizations, but if you are unable to do so, just pray for their safety and spread out the words about these donations.

• AMERICAN RED CROSS: Emergency Operation Centers are opened in the affected areas and staffed by the chapters. This disaster is on a scale larger than the Japanese Red Cross can typically manage. Donations to the American Red Cross can be allocated for the International Disaster Relief Fund, which then deploys to the region to help. Donate here.
• GLOBALGIVING: Established a fund to disburse donations to organizations providing relief and emergency services to victims of the earthquake and tsunami. Donate here.
• SAVE THE CHILDREN: Mobilizing to provide immediate humanitarian relief in the shape of emergency health care and provision of non-food items and shelter. Donate here.
• SALVATION ARMY: The Salvation Army has been in Japan since 1895 and is currently providing emergency assistance to those in need. Donate here.
• AMERICARES: Emergency team is on full alert, mobilizing resources and dispatching an emergency response manager to the region. Donate here.
• CONVOY OF HOPE: Disaster Response team established connection with in-country partners who have been impacted by the damage and are identifying the needs and areas where Convoy of Hope may be of the greatest assistance. Donate here.
• INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL CORPS: Putting together relief teams, as well as supplies, and are in contact with partners in Japan and other affected countries to assess needs and coordinate our activities. Donate here.
• SHELTER BOX: The first team is mobilizing to head to Japan and begin the response effort. Donate here.

Salam and hello everyone. I want to share this important reminder and message from FOTOMEDIA (FMDC) MALAYSIA (WWW.FOTOMEDIA.COM.MY) about this guy in the picture below. To short the long story, this guy has been claimed in fraud camera and illegal photos selling and also copyright infringement of photos owned by DigitalDome (www.DigitalDome.org). This guy has been claimed sold the photos of DigitalDome without any written permission from the owner and also has manipulated all photos downloaded from original website by putting his own watermark on it, uploaded it to several blogs of him and sold the photos illegally for self profit.

The name of this guy is Mohd Izani M. Bakri (his father’s name still unconfirmed, further information will be updated soon) and claimed to be one of Cosmopoint Kuala Terengganu students. This case currently under investigation and DigitalDome currently collecting all proves to bring this case to the next step, law action.

For me, its a great song which shows the unity of Malaysian and a great collaboration among Malaysian artists. IMHO, the song itself is great; the video of the song is simple and funny but full of message in it. Honestly, I love this song. For the first time I listen this song at Fly FM, I already attracted with the melody and messages in it.

Hello all. Again for this year and for the second time, Shutdown Day is back! Do you dare and ready to take the challenge? And before that, what the challenge? It may sound simple things and some peoples may said “This is ridiculous! How come…bla bla..” BUT its not impossible to do it. Don’t say NO until you try first.

Ok, before that, what this Shutdown Day is all about?

Shutdown Day is a Global Internet Experiment whose purpose is to get people to think about how their lives have changed with the increasing use of the home computer, and whether or not any good things are being lost because of this.

The idea of Shutdown Day project is simple – just shutdown your computer for one whole day of the year and involve yourself in some other activities: outdoors, nature, sports, fun stuff with friends and family – whatever, just to remind yourself that there still exists a world outside your monitor screen.

Michael Taylor, the original partner in the idea of Shutdown Day, says
“I certainly could not and would not want to live without my computer. However, I am often drawn into spending hours chatting on MSN, simply because my friends are online instead of socialising face to face. I am often too busy to cook a proper dinner, because I want to see the latest news on digg.com or the latest YouTube video. I know parents who are so addicted to the computer that they spend little time with their children, and I also know children who do not spend time with their parents because they are always using the computer. We are not preaching to anyone to turn off their computers. We are just suggesting that people might like to take part in this experiment, and see what happens.”
