Youtube Symphony Orchestra – “The Internet Symphony” Global Mash Up

Salam and hello all. It has been about a week there is no new entry here. Hoho, actually I at my hometown right now, enjoying my limited-one-week holiday. Yeah, hence of course I need to appreciate that limited time. My class for special semester will start soon on 20 April 2009. Well, I took special semester a.k.a short semester again. Ok, stop talking about academic stuff, it’s holiday. Hehe.

Let’s go back to what this entry should be, do you know about this collaboration? Youtube Symphony Orchestra? Have you ever heard before? I noticed about this world’s first collaborative orchestra few days before when I was watching a video at Youtube. Anyway, I heard about it again today on tv about this collaborative orchestra. Let’s have a brief intro about this orchestra.

This collaborative orchestra is a collaboration of Youtube and London Symphony Orchestra, and consists of at least 90 musicians from 30 different countries. What more interesting is, all musicians have been selected via a vote by Youtube viewers! Sound cool, huh? And they have performed their first performance at Carnegie Hall yesterday and the video has ready to watch at Youtube.

This is the video of Tan Dun’s Internet Symphony No. 1 “Eroica” that was performed by this orchestra yesterday and was conducted by San Francisco Symphony Orchestra music director Michael Tilson-Thomas. Listen to the music, it is really nice and “classic”.

Beside Tan Dun’s Internet Symphony No. 1 “Eroica”, they also performed other classical music works by Gabrieli, Bach, Mozart, Brahms, Villa-Lobos and John Cage. So many names I never heard before, but I love to hear Mozart, Beethoven and Strauss. Sometimes these classical music help me to relax. Anyway, I think I’ll hear this Tan Dun’s Internet Symphony No. 1 “Eroica” many times after this. This music is awesome. So, what do you think?

Diary of Aidilfitri 1429H 2008M

Salam and hello everyone. How’s your holiday and for the muslim, your Aidilfitri celebration? Happy? Hopefully, you’re happy. Ya, its Hari Raya guys! You should be happy. Since I didn’t update this blog along this celebration, so this is quick updates about what is going on in these few days back.

Night of 1st Syawal

Hoho, as always like previous year, me, my cousins and other relatives had some mini BBQ at my Che Ngah’s house. We started to bake the BBQ after Isya’ about 9.00pm, and easier to us, Abang Long had started the fire so we all just have to bake the chickens. Here are some pictures that have been taken from that night. There are more, but I forgot to ask my cousin for the pictures. These photos are taken by my cousin’s SE C902 phone. His new phone actually. Hahaha Enjoy the pictures then.

Huh? What colour of fire is that? Curious, hmm… lens error? But everytime I took the picture of fire using camera phone, it always end up like this. Haih…

No pictures from my camera since I forgot to bring it. Haha.

Haha, this one is not from that night but from the day I had break fast with my grandpa and grandma at Kijal. I managed to capture this shot while adik Adam didn’t aware that I took his picture. I love the expression, very spontaneously. I asked him “Sape ni?” and showed him this picture in my camera. He answered “Eii.. adek…” while smiling.

1st Syawal

As usual like previous year too, after all those usual activities we did during aidilfitri morning, me and my cousins have to bake our main meal for first day of Hari Raya, satay. Usually my dad will bought about 1000 sticks of satay just for first day of Hari Raya to serve all the relatives and friends. Again, here are some pictures. Oh…still taken by SE C902.

After finished baked all the satay and all my relatives have come visited our house, me then prepared myself to visit my relatives house. Easy thing is; all of my relative’s houses from my dad side are all located near with each other, so after go to this house, and then go to this house and then this house. Save the time and money, owh.. fuel price still expensive though.

In the evening, I and family went back to my mom’s hometown. No so far from our house, the journey took about 30 minutes or maybe less. We had some lemang and rendang as the main dishes, hooho.. and I ended up ate all those rendang and lemang. Yummy… Ok la, after that we had some conversations.. ya.. you know, long time no see. Many stories we talked about. Huhu.. We back home after Maghrib and me, still don’t know what to do for the second day. Ok, some more pictures.

2nd Syawal

I did nothing for this 2nd day till afternoon. There are some kids came to my house. My family served them with what we had, some so called kuih raya and mee kari. Hmm… Anyway, they just wait for the duit raya actually. Hehehe, as usual, give them some duit raya la. Looking at them make me remind about myself last time. Me and my cousins had walking around the village, visited every house with the open door with hope for duit raya. Haha, its funny whenever I remember those memories.

At the evening, 3 of my friends who I didn’t see them for a very long time came to my house. Although we not see each other for a long time but we still keep in touch. That’s really a great moment since we didn’t see each other about 3 years! And we just keep in contact via Friendster. That’s very happy moment for me. We talked a lot of thing, many of things. One of my friends, will fly to Australia soon, so this is the last Hari Raya for him at Malaysia before he going to further his study. Hoho, at least I got chance to see him before he going to fly. Thanks guys for this visit.

At night, me and my cousins had some fun playing what so called bunga api. Ok, read bunga api or firework. Not mercun or all those things. So, I had recorded the video so enjoy it ya.

3rd Syawal

For 3rd day, there’s nothing more activity and most of my relatives and cousins will going back home today. Hmm.. more? Wait for the next raya la then we can gather all together again.

MJC : Final Week Part 2

Salam and hello to all. After 7 weeks, our Japanese Language course finally over. Huhu, and for the last day we had to perform a song and we had performed it the best as we can. All students look so happy and enjoyed the performance from other groups and sensei also look satisfied with what we had performed. And, we’re satisfied too!

So, here is the video of my group, called Ryo Kuyou (りょくよう) which means Green Leaves. Why Green Leaves? According to our group leader, Chua, it is because we’re still young and we had learnt the basic of Nihon-go and we still have a long journey and more to learn. So, we’re still “green” and “young”. Anyway, the idea of the group name is not from me, but from one of our senior in the group, Amalina. Huhu.. IMHO, the name is suit well to our group.

Sorry for bad quality of video. So that’s the video of our performance. Simple, right? As I said before in previous post, we had the simplest performance. Hehe. Anyway, just ignore the part while out of the sudden we stopped singing. I don’t know what happened, maybe the microphone was turned off.

After we had the performances from all the groups, then we had photo session! *smile everyone!*

Actually there are many more photos, but I lazy to upload it. Lols.. Anyway, this photo is the photo of all students and our beloved sensei. Ok, that’s all for MJC, next week we’ll have our final exam but anyway the exam date still not confirm since there are clash with other exams. Hmm.. still didn’t get any email from the administrator about any changes. But, according to current exam timetable, にほんご　のしんけん will be on 10 June 2008. Anyway, get ready!

So, this is the last post for MJC. With GOD will, maybe I’ll take another Japanese Language course, Japanese 2. Anyway for now, my focus is on the final exam this Tuesday. Before I end my post, thanks a lot to both my sensei, サイド　せんせい　と　サフリル　せんせい, and all supportive にほんご　の　かくせい. Ok, that’s all.

UPDATE : The exam for Japanese Language was postponed to Thursday (12 June 2008) at 2.30pm. Lols.. Looks like I need to reschedule my plan.
