#OpMalaysia (Updated) – Malaysia Hackers Response Towards Blocking of File Sharing Websites by SKMM; Anonymous Has Called Off [Their] Plan
Salam and hello everyone. I believe most of Malaysia netizens have noticed about the blocking of file sharing websites by SKMM (Suruhanjaya Komunikasi dan Multimedia Malaysia) lately and in the latest news today, most ISPs have already taken their action accordingly as requested by SKMM and KPDNKK to block all access to more than 10 of most popular file sharing websites. Read my previous entry for details.
As expected, this action is not acceptable by those file sharing websites users and a Facebook page to show their protest is now gaining more and more exposure from both netizens and medias. Most of the fans of the Facebook page shows their unacceptable reaction towards the action by SKMM. The issue becomes more hot when one of the most respected hackers groups, Anonymous has announced their plan to hack Malaysia government website as a sign of support for Malaysia netizen. Anonymous at first plans to hack Malaysia government website (www.malaysia.gov.my) at 7.30pm GMT on Wednesday (3.30am Thursday Malaysian time) and has named it “Operation Malaysia” . The video below shows the response of Anonymous towards SKMM action of blocking those file sharing websites and internet freedom.
Greetings, Malaysia, We have seen the censorship taken by the Malaysian government, blocking sites like The Pirate Bay, and WikiLeaks. Malaysia is one of the world’s strictest governments, even blocking out movies, and television shows. These acts of censorship are inexcusable. You are taking away a basic human right. The internet is here for freedom, without fear of government interference. Do not think that no one else notices. Your structured government has done the talking, and we hear loud and clear. Let this be an announcement to all your people. This is a sign, a warning, and an opportunity to listen to ideas above your own. In a way you are being stubborn. But how will this help anyone or your country. We fear that if you make further decisions to take away human freedom. We are obligated to act fast and have no mercy. For rules were meant to be broken. And corruption was meant to be washed away and forgiven. Now we will wash your corruption away so be prepared. Take this as a favor. We are Anonymous.
However, today through #OpMalaysia IRC Chat channel, it has been told that the operation is called off until further notice. Even Anonymous has called off their plan, a group of Malaysia hackers called RileksCrew/DragonForce Malaysia has started their response and action towards this blocking of file sharing websites. A few of Malaysia websites have been hacked in the last few hours. The following screenshots show the websites that have been hacked by RileksCrew/DragonForce Malaysia.

Thank you Suruhanjaya Komunikasi dan Multimedia Malaysia (SKMM) for blocking all those top 10 most popular file sharing websites as listed below.
- http://www.warez-bb.org – Ok, I’ve downloaded few “FREE” Educational e-books from here.
- http://www.thepiratebay.org - I’m not torrent user, never mind.
- http://www.movie2k.to – My first heard about this website.
- http://www.megavideo.com – Never use this website before.
- http://www.putlocker.com – Same with MegaVideo.
- http://www.depositfiles.com – My alternative movie download source.
- http://www.duckload.com – Owh, download speed is slow from this website, never mind.
- http://www.fileserve.com – T_T This is my main source of downloading JDorama and KDrama.
- http://www.filestube.com – Not really use it, never mind.
- http://www.megaupload.com – Darn, this can’t be true!
According to an official letter from SKMM to all Malaysia Internet Service Provider (ISP), the reason behind this blocking action is to protect public revenue and preserve national security under Section 263 (2) of the Communication and Multimedia Act 1998. Ok, that’s the reason, so take it positively. If you want to read the whole official letter, proceed here.
So, what are you going to do? Asking SKMM to take back the action? Protesting? Crying? Or maybe find a “clever” but effective solution for this action. Hello fellow Malaysian, we have used internet for years, we have learnt a lot of things from this boundary-less internet space. Some of us have been a hacker just by learning it from the internet. Thank you MSC. So, used it to overcome the problem right now. *Ok, I give you the hint, so go Google now**Domain Name System (DNS)*
*Update: DNS seems not the solution to bypass these blocking. Let’s look at another solution. 
TM has started blocking some of those listed websites for both its Streamyx and UniFi customers, but not all websites are blocked.
p/s: Anyway, those listed soon-to-be-blocked websites are still accessible.
Maxis Introduces New Mobile Internet Data Plan for 100MB/month at RM18
Salam and hello everyone. After a long wait, finally Maxis is going to introduce new mobile internet data plan for both its postpaid and prepaid customers, but you have to wait until this 16 August to get register with this new data plan. Pretty affordable in my opinion since the current cheapest mobile internet data plan is at RM58/month for 500MB of monthly bandwidth. Well, I think most of us is not going to use it up to this 500MB of bandwidth, hence 100MB per month looks quiet reasonable offer. Plus, its only cost you RM18/month!
Anyway, I hope this will solve my problem with my phone right now. During my first month of using it, I have used 50MB of total data transfer and the charge was about RM3xx! It may sound crazy, but that it is. The reason behind this is I’m not subscribed to any data plan.
Okay, if you want to subscribe to this data plan, wait until this 16 August 2010. I’ll consider too to subscribe to this data plan. I hope my dad don’t mind. *Because he is the one who pay my bill, poor me

Salam and hello everyone. Just a quick and short entry for this period of short holiday. Haha. Anyway, I want to take this opportunity to greet all Chinese people out there, Happy Chinese New Year and to all people and myself, happy holiday. I hope you have a great moment with your beloved family during this celebration and holiday. For those who will drive back to your hometown, drive safely and carefully. You can make a different.

15Mbps Streamyx? Or Is It Streamyx is Improving?
Salam and hello all. We have already heard about the plan of High-Speed Broadband (HSBB) project that will be carried out soon which able broadband users in Malaysia to enjoy high speed broadband from 10Mbps and up to 1Gbps. Well, I’m not going to write any elaboration, comments, expectations and hopes regarding this next generation of broadband in Malaysia, but what I’m going to share with you is the screenshot below.
This is the screenshot of Streamyx 1Mbps Home Wireless Broadband package broadband speed test by SpeedTest.net and the test was done by my cousin today (13th November 2009) around 1.00 am. Do you see the download speed? What do you have across your mind now? Haha, I have no idea how this could be happened. By the way, you don’t have to worry because it happened only once. Haha! Several tests after above test have shown normal broadband speed around 1.4Mbps download and 0.48Mbps upload.
Even it happened only once, SpeedTest.net has calculated that, to download a movie of 800mb, it would take only 8 minutes of time. Great! I just wish we have that speed really soon and with affordable price. Even some rumors have said, the monthly subscription for 10Mbps broadband connection will cost you around RM500/monthly, I hope these rumors are wrong.
